I came across this abandoned house on the Limerick Road not to far from Buttevant town, on first sight the house has been empty for some time, one of the back rooms has collapsed under the weight of the roof that has fallen through, there is sighs that there could have been an elderly couple vacated this large looking cottage I found two commodes.
There was definitely a women’s warm touch threw out this place for example the balanced colours in each room, the curtains, sighs of dead flowers this ends when I reach the back door to find an extension which was occupied by the man of the house, maybe a mechanic of some kind with bits and pieces of parts lying around.
The wife might have died because his trail of parts ended up in what looks like the main bedroom, his movement was confined to these two rooms which happened to be close together I found the other commode chair in the workshop, I found a connection with this guy, sitting by his desk looking out into Garden which is now overgrowing and nature making its way back into the house, the beautiful light coming through the windows is still evident leaving memories that once was.
